If someone owes you money and you cannot settle things any other way, you may decide to issue a claim in the County Court. People can also claim for other reasons, including:

- damage to their property
- road traffic accidents; and
- goods not supplied
The system for handling straighforward claims with a financial value of £10,000 or less is designed to be quick, easy to use and low cost.
